Video: After hurricane, Los Cabos comes back
After a hurricane in 2014, Baja California’s Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo are coming back.
Los Cabos got slammed when Hurricane Odile struck southern Baja California in September. But this video shows how well the region has recovered.
The footage, shot in February, covers Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo and the 18-mile hotel corridor between the two.
The area has been a growing tourist destination since the 1970s, but last year’s hurricane killed several people, closed the airport for weeks and left millions of dollars in damage. Though most businesses have reopened, several upscale hotels remain under reconstruction.
