Eureka’s third annual Organic Planet Festival to commence
“Natural” and “organic” are the words of the day at Eureka’s third annual event, where speakers and workshops will address environmental issues and visitors can boogie to the blues music of Tommy Castro, plus reggae, hip-hop, African drumming and more. Also featured: Wildberries Marketplace, “nontoxic kids’ village” with petting zoo, what’s billed as the world’s largest organic salad and an eco fashion show.
When, where: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 26 at Halvorsen Park, at the foot of L Street on the waterfront in Eureka.
Admission: $10, children 12 and younger free.
