The Palazzo: What’s not to like?

Three things to like:

Really big suites with really big sofas, beds, tubs and TVs.

The promise of reservations at hot restaurants by top chefs -- Trotter, Puck, Batali, Lagasse.

The whole wide world of Italian-tinted luxury replicated under one roof, with views of vivid Vegas from within.

Three things to dis:

The resort’s incomplete, but when it’s ready, it will likely be intensely frenetic and expensive.

The design’s kind of fuddy-duddy, not Vegas wow.

A place this big -- 50 stories, 3,066 rooms -- is always impersonal.
