Spain: Get a discount on April trek along spiritual Camino de Santiago
The Camino de Santiago in northwestern Spain is an ancient pilgrimage trail that leads to the shrine of the Apostle St. James in the cathedral at Santiago de Compostela. Today travelers come for the spiritual and cultural value as well as the beauty of the landscape. Fresco Tours, which leads treks along the route, is discounting an April tour by 22% for those who book by Tuesday.
The deal: The “Catch a 22% Discount” offer applies to a 10-day tour that starts April 5 in the town of Leon and ends at the cathedral. Expect to walk as much as 13 miles a day with a small group of 10 to 12. The trip includes a bilingual guide, a support vehicle to transport backpacks, stays in small manor homes along the way and most meals.
Airfare and transportation to the beginning and end of the tour are not included. The discounted cost is roughly $2,186 per person, based on double occupancy, which represents a $600 savings. Check out the itinerary and FAQs to learn more about the trip.
When: The offer is good for the April 5 tour only and must be reserved by Tuesday.
Tested: The deal isn’t listed on the Fresco Tours website but you can make online reservations using the code “Catch a 22%.” By calling, I verified that spaces are still available at the discounted rate.
