Gate 1 Travel discounts trips $50 to $1,000 for Black Friday sale

Travel company Gate 1 Travel kicks off Black Friday early with discounts of $50 to $1,000 off every tour the company offers. The deal applies to hundreds of land tours as well as river and sea cruises in the U.S., Asia, Europe, South America and other destinations. The sale begins online on Thanksgiving and continues through Black Friday (Nov. 23).
The deal: The sale applies to all trips offered by Gate 1 Travel and its small-group travel wing Discovery Tours. Travelers save $50 on a trip priced at $500 or more (use the code “BL12FR50”) and $100 on a trip that costs $1,000 or more (code “BL12FR100”). Discounts go as high as $1,000 off trips costing $10,000 or more (code “BL12FR1000).
When: Online sales begin on Thanksgiving (Nov. 22) and continue through Black Friday. Sales by phone are one day only on Nov. 23.
Details: Some of the better deals on trips are those that include airfare from Los Angeles. Gate 1 offers a nine-day trip to Central Thailand With River Kwai for $1,489 per person and a 12-day Classic Vietnam trip for $1,949 per person (both are based on double occupancy). Both of these would qualify for the $100 discount.
