Kim Kardashian talked about how her fashion sense has evolved -- from Juicy sweats to Celine, Lanvin and Givenchy -- on Wednesday on the inaugural episode of ‘The Look,’ a new show on YouTube’s Hello Style channel from Harper’s Bazaar. The show is hosted and produced by Laura Brown, Harper’s Bazaar features/special projects director, who will interview celebrities on style and pop culture on the program. To promote the show, Brown gave an interview to The Cut and explained her own style, which involves jeans, well-cut trousers, heels, Alexander Wang and Victoria Beckham. No skirts, no leather pants, no peplums. ‘I’m not that big on trends,’ she said. ‘I think the more that you work in the industry, the less you’re swayed by it. You appreciate it but you don’t fetishize it as much.’ [The Cut]

The berets that are part of the uniforms U.S. athletes will wear to the Summer Olympics opening ceremonies and that were unveiled Tuesday stirred up a lot of talk on Fox TV’s ‘Fox & Friends,’ in which host Steve Doocy and company commented they seemed to be too French, and suggested baseball caps instead. But thanks in part to viewer emails they stopped mocking when they were reminded berets have been part of American military uniforms for, well, more than half a century. [Media Matters]
