Pacific Symphony offers half-price tickets for entire 2009-10 season

It’s a deal that every budget-conscious classical-music fan ought to know about.
The Pacific Symphony in Orange County is offering half-price single tickets to season concerts in a special deal through its website -- but the promotion is only good through the end of today.
All tickets for the 2009-10 season -- which kicks off in September with a series of concerts featuring violinist Midori -- are discounted at half off their original prices. The deal doesn’t apply to the May 18, 2010, gala concert with violinist Joshua Bell.
In addition to classical concerts, the deal applies to pop events, such as the series of concerts with Patti LuPone in October and Pink Martini in April. Also included are the family series of concerts geared toward children.
Under the discount, a typical orchestra-seat ticket for an evening concert goes for around $92.50, while a grand-tier seat (way up high) will cost you $20.
Tickets for matinee performances can go for approximately half as much for the same seats.
The Pacific Symphony’s 2009-10 season also features appearances by violinist Leila Josefowicz, pianist Andre Watts and pianist Markus Groh.
