Here’s the million-dollar question: Will Seattle’s Intiman Theatre make it past Tuesday? The Tony-winning organization where such theater luminaries as Bartlett Sher and Craig Lucas left their artistic footprint has set a self-imposed fundraising ultimatum to raise $1 million or close up shop.

The 40-year-old Seattle theater is no stranger to closures. Last spring the cash-strapped company shut down midseason at the advice of an independent consultant. The company reportedly has received $800,000 toward its goal, which would allow the theater to reopen for the summer season with a four–play festival featuring a dozen or so local actors.

The clock is ticking to see if donors and Facebook fans chip in to keep the 40-year-old theater in business into its golden years.
