--This weekend is shaping up to be a foodie’s delight: The annual Long Beach Street Food Festival takes place at Rainbow Lagoon Park, near the 710 Freeway and Shoreline Drive from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. And if you leave midafternoon, you can drive up to the Rose Bowl to make the L.A. Street Food Fest. [Updated: An earlier version of this post said the L.A. Street Food Fest would be in L.A. It will be in Pasadena.]
Then, on Sunday morning, you can join Yoga for Foodies at Akasha Restaurant for ‘deep stretches, great tunes, and locally sourced, farm-to-table food.’ You can also join Joshua Lurie of Food GPS as he hosts a progressive dining tour of Beverly Boulevard with stops at Eva, MILK, BLD and The Golden State: ‘Each chef-owner will introduce a plate, treat or drink. Knife Skills 101 takes place on Sunday Aug. 8 in Hancock Park. No hands-on cooking, just everything you need to know about slicing, dicing, knife sharpening and the like.
