Eat, pray, love at RockSugar. Stop by RockSugar Pan Asian Kitchen until Sept. 8 and enjoy a four-course dinner, tickets to see ‘Eat Pray Love’ at the AMC Century City and valet parking, for $48 per person. Begin with an appetizer: chicken samosas, beef skewers or flat bread with chives, garlic and red curry sauce. Then try a meat or seafood dish: cilantro shrimp with corn and sweet potato, chicken tikka masala with chutney, or crispy striped bass with roasted cauliflower and okra. Have a rice or vegetable course: eggplant, asparagus and green beans or fried rice. Cooking camp for kids. Surfas Restaurant Supply and Gourmet food is hosting three culinary camps called the Piccolo Chef series. Enroll your 11- to 17-year-olds now, so they can learn a little technique in the kitchen. In the Roman adventure series, they will learn to prepare dishes such as: spaghetti carbonara and gnocchi alla Romana. In the chef’s garden series, lessons will include how to make triple berry shortcakes and vegetable tarts. In the bake shop series, piccolo chefs will create chocolate fudge brownies and crusty seeded baguettes.
