--Stop everything! You’ve no doubt read about your share of pop-up restaurants. Well, get this: Now there’s a pop-up PIE SHOP -- YES, PIE SHOP -- this Monday from 6 to 10 p.m. at Golden State, courtesy of crust by Stephanie Jayne. Read more at Sauce LA, which notes that the pies will be served to go, a la mode, or by the slice ‘in adorable yet totally practical individual slice boxes.’ Yes, please!

--Move over figs! Make room for bacon-wrapped apricots.
--Change is coming: Two ex-McDonald’s executives including the former president and chief operations officer, Mike Roberts, are teaming up with Vegan chef Tal Ronnen, author of ‘The Conscious Cook’ and Art Smith –- both celebrity chefs to Oprah Winfrey –- to help round out the menu. More at Organic Authority.
