Dr. Mehmet Oz, the syndicated television host, created a flurry when he suggested recently that parents should restrict their children’s intake of apple juice because his testing found traces of arsenic. Not so says the Food and Drug Administration, which says their own testing has shown no such thing. Furthermore, it seems Oz’s testing failed to differentiate between naturally occuring organic arsenic, which is not harmful, and inorganic arsenic, which is. Read more about it here.
