Dodgers increase reward offer by $100,000 for suspects in fan beating

The Dodgers increased their reward offer by $100,000 Tuesday for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects sought in the Bryan Stow beating on opening day.

In addition to the Dodgers’ total reward offer of $125,000, the Los Angeles City Council has pledged $50,000. Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich and the San Francisco Giants have each pledged $10,000 and American Medical Response has pledged $5,000. The total reward now amounts to $200,000.

Los Angeles radio personality Tom Leykis has pledged a $50,000 reward, but the LAPD did not include his offer in its reward total.

Stow, 42, was brutally beaten in the Dodger Stadium parking lot March 31 by two suspects following the Dodgers’ season opener against the Giants and remains in critical condition.

He is no longer in a medically induced coma, but remains unconscious and has suffered brain damage. Monday he was strong enough to be transported from Los Angeles to a San Francisco hospital.

The LAPD said they have increased their search to include a Latina in her 20s who wore an Andre Ethier jersey the night of the attack and drove the two suspects away.
