A possible out-of-town sports fan is suspected of robbing a San Diego bank Saturday morning, according to the FBI and San Diego police.
A robber wearing a USC Trojans baseball cap and a San Diego Chargers lanyard around his neck robbed a Wells Fargo bank in the Kearny Mesa neighborhood, the FBI and police said. He then was spotted fleeing in a Toyota or Honda with either a Baja California or out-of-state license place.
The robber was described as Latino, 40 years old, 5 foot 8 to 5 foot 9 and 150 pounds. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money after handing the teller a threatening demand note.
