Good morning. In this OC Register online poll, 91% of those who voted said ‘no’ to government aid for homeowners in trouble. ‘Nobody forced them to sign a loan they couldn’t afford in the first place,’ observed one respondent. Aside: I’m looking forward to seeing how the Democratic presidential candidates will dance around this issue, because bailout talk is unfailingly unpopular, but Democrats generally like to put your money where someone else’s problem is.
We’ve written several times about a condo glut in downtown LA, but Curbed LA is reporting that prices are actually rising at the Mura building -- from $340,000 for a 590-square foot studio last fall to $420,000 now.
