Spring events at South Coast Plaza

Spring is around the corner, and South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa is celebrating the season with special events for children and adults. Here are a few:

• Youngsters can meet the Easter Bunny March 20 through April 11. There will be two bunnies: a ‘personable’ talking Easter Bunny stationed in the gazebo at Carousel Court and a ‘tall, silent type’ of rabbit in the Macy’s Home Store wing. Photos and springtime crafts will be available at each location. Kids can also hop aboard the Bunny Carousel, operating March 18 through April 13. Easter falls on April 12 this year.
• Meet celebrity chefs Cat Cora, Marcus Samuelsson and Nancy Silverton at the Macy’s Home Store on March 7 at 2 p.m. The chefs will sign cookbooks and serve samples.
• Mall merchant Coldwater Creek is hosting a spring celebration March 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. Enjoy light refreshments while shopping the new spring collections of ready-to-wear clothing and accessories for women.
• Hip clothing retailer Mango is hosting a shopping party March 6 from 4 to 9 p.m. Shoppers can save 30% on select spring trends and score a goody bag with a $75 purchase while supplies last.
