A local Jewish organization is pitching in with tips on how to ride out the roller-coaster economy. It’s hosting a free community resource fair Thursday.
The Jewish Federation Valley Alliance will offer workshops about the job hunt, debtor’s rights and other issues from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kathleen B. Schulweis, a life coach, will offer strategies for staying afloat. Participants also can meet with staff members of social service and government agencies.
A free light dinner -- kosher too -- will be served. So far, 75 people have reserved spots.
The alliance, at 22622 Vanowen St. in West Hills, works with hundreds of thousands of Jewish residents in the San Fernando, Antelope, Santa Clarita, Conejo and Simi valleys.
For information or reservations, call (818) 464-3219 or email PBellovin@JewishLA.org.
