Remember when Google was just a nifty search browser with a funny name?

Now this tech giant that seems bent on taking over the world (remember when we used to say that about Microsoft?) has given the first public demonstration of its home-grown-operating system -- Chrome OS -- that’s due out next year.

No surprisingly, it looks like ... well ... a search browser.
