SUNDAY
Let’s talk about ‘Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew.’ The good doctor hosts this latest iteration of his recovery-themed reality series, this time focusing on sex addiction. Here’s hoping he can teach men and women who can’t say ‘no’ to do just that. (VH1, 10 p.m.) MONDAY
For its premiere episode, the new documentary series ‘Strange Rituals’ travels to countries like India, Indonesia and Mexico to explore the unusual ways that different cultures solemnize -- or even celebrate -- death and dying. (History, 10 p.m.) TUESDAY
Extraterrestrials pay Earth a courtesy call as a 1980s sci-fi drama gets a post-millennium makeover with ‘V.’ ‘Lost’s’ Elizabeth Mitchell stars as an FBI agent, while ‘Firefly’s’ Morena Baccarin, below, plays the very pretty public face of the visitors. (ABC, 8 p.m.)
WEDNESDAY
Comic, actor, pudding pitchman and sometime cultural commentator Bill Cosby, below, is honored for his endeavors in the field of humor in the new special ‘Bill Cosby: The Mark Twain Prize 2009.’(KCET, 8 and 9:30 p.m.)
THURSDAY
Perhaps tired of those other feisty femmes in New York, New Jersey and Atlanta soaking up the spotlight and stealing their thunder, the ladies of the reality series ‘The Real Housewives of Orange County’ return for another season. (Bravo, 10 p.m.)
FRIDAY
Speaking of overprivileged, the new reality series ‘Platinum Babies’ profiles well-heeled parents who believe nothing is too good -- or too pricey - for their precious tiny tots. Really? In this economy? (WE, 9 and 9:30 p.m.)
SATURDAY
With ‘The Wanda Sykes Show,’ the actress-comedian, below -- whose credits include ‘Pootie Tang’ and ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine’ -- gets to crack wise on her own dime with very own late-night comedy-variety series. (Fox, 11 p.m.)
LYRICAL
A profile of songwriter Johnny Mercer to be on TCM on Wednesday
‘Johnny Mercer: The Dream’s on Me’ profiles the man who put words to ‘Moon River’ and many other movie tunes. Clint Eastwood and composer John Williams are among the stars praising the musical gifts of Mercer (right). (TCM, 5 and 9 p.m. Wednesday)
‘REC’ RIVAL
Megan Mullally guest stars on ‘Parks and Recreation’
‘Will & Grace’s’ Megan Mullally returns to Thursday night -- temporarily at least -- with a guest spot on ‘Parks and Recreation.’ She plays a library official looking to get her mitts on the lot that Leslie (Amy Poehler) hopes to turn into a park. May the best woman win. (NBC, 8:30 p.m. Thursday)

It’s Tricky Dick versus slick Brit as Frank Langella (near right) portrays the combative ex-president, and Michael Sheen (far right) the not-always unflappable TV interviewer, in Ron Howard’s 2008 film version of the hit play ‘Frost/Nixon.’ (Cinemax, 10 p.m. Saturday)
