How’s this for putting two and two together and getting five, eh?

You might recall that Gillick was the architect of the Toronto Blue Jays’ most successful seasons.

Two things:

1. We all know Anaheim Ducks GM Brian Burke is going to take that job with Toronto after this season.

2. Gillick said in a previous interview he’d like to come to the West Coast. It has been presumed he’d like to have some role with the Seattle Mariners.
