With goaltender Erik Ersberg’s status in doubt, the Kings recalled Jonathan Quick from Manchester of the American Hockey League. Ersberg suffered a groin injury during Monday’s 3-2 shootout loss to San Jose and had an MRI exam on Tuesday. The results were negative.
Quick, 22, had a 3.55 goals-against average and .855 save percentage in 14 games with Manchester. To make room on the roster, the Kings put forward Ian Richardson (foot) on injured reserve.
