Pac-10 could still make a basketball mark, women’s style

The Arizona State women’s basketball team will be playing unbeaten Connecticut at 4 p.m. on ESPN for a spot in the women’s basketball Final Four. Not that anyone gives the Sun Devils any chance. But Stanford has already qualified for the women’s Final Four in St. Louis. West Coast women’s college basketball gets little respect. Stanford couldn’t earn a No. 1 seed, but knocking off UConn? That would be an eye-opener. After all, heading into the Sweet 16 the Sun Devils were the lowest seed remaining.
