Oregon State is still playing basketball in the College Basketball Invitational Championship Series (CBI). Craig Robinson’s Beavers won the first of the best-of-three final series over UTEP, 75-69, on Monday in Corvallis, Ore. Game 2 is on Wednesday in El Paso, airing at 7 p.m. on HDNet should you receive that channel and not be gainfully employed at that time doing laundry or taking the dog for a walk or making dinner or, well, just about anything.

And if there is a Game 3, yes, a Game 3, it would be Friday in El Paso also on HDNet at 7 p.m. But even if no one is watching, what a great thing for a new coach at a new school. Robinson gets a little extra exposure, his players get a little extra work under Robinson’s system and Robinson can tell recruits that under him Oregon State has always played in the post-season!
