UCLA freshman J’mison Morgan had planned to devote the off-season to physical conditioning but will have to rest the next six weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery to remove torn cartilage from his right knee.
The operation was performed Thursday morning at UCLA Medical Center.
Morgan, who arrived in Westwood out of shape, played 5.4 minutes a game last season, averaging 2.3 points and one rebound.
