UCLA basketball Coach Ben Howland underwent a standard appendectomy at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center on Wednesday, a spokesman said. The coach was said to be resting comfortably and expects to return to work on Monday.
‘One of the very best things about being a coach or student-athlete at UCLA is if you need medical attention, you won’t find any better place in the country,’ he said in a statement.
