Lakers Moments: Anthony Peeler scores big for a rookie

A good playmaker who was deadly from three-point range, Peeler was a Laker for four seasons, from 1992-93 to 95-96. He was drafted by the team as the 15th overall pick in 1992, and went on to start in 11 games and average 10.4 points, becoming the first rookie since Byron Scott (83-84) to average in double figures.
During the 93-94 season, he only appeared in 30 games because of injuries, but was the team’s second leading scorer when healthy, averaging 14.1 points. In his final season with the team, he was ranked 19th in the NBA in three-point field-goal percentage (41.3%) and became only the second Laker after Scott to shoot .400 or better from three-point range over an entire season.
He was traded to the Vancouver Grizzlies in 1996. After a 13-season NBA career, he retired in 2005.
