Junior second baseman Tyler Rahmatulla of UCLA, an All-Pac-10 selection last season, has been suspended for the rest of the 2011 season because of “academic issues,” a school spokesman said Tuesday.
Rahmatulla, a Santa Ana Mater Dei graduate, has not played since March 27.
He has been replaced in the Bruins’ lineup by freshman Kevin Williams.
