Fabian Moreau, a running back from Davie (Fla.) Western High, has committed to UCLA, according to Rashad West, his high school coach.
Moreau, who is 6 feet and 180 pounds, has breakaway speed with a 40-yard time of 4.4 seconds.
“He has the ability to score any time he touches the ball,” West said. “He has skill for the game and that open-field ability that makes him a threat.”
Moreau visited UCLA last weekend. He had more than 1,900 all-purpose yards and scored 20 touchdowns as a senior.
Moreau is the 26th player to commit to UCLA. The Bruins had 14 seniors on scholarship last season. They also had three other players leave the program, bringing the scholarships available to 17.
UCLA will either have to pull back some scholarship offers or look at roster adjustments.
