Palmdale: Juan Carlos Velasquez, 35, a Latino man, was beaten to death sometime in the morning of Wednesday, May 2. His body was found at 9:50 inside a portable restroom at a construction site in the 38500 10th St. East in Palmdale. He had suffered trauma injuries to the head, investigators said.

Detectives are seeking Deandre Thaymon Jackson, 20, in relation to this case, said Sgt. Martin Rodriguez of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau. Jackson’s street name is ‘Bird.’ He is from South Los Angeles, but frequents the Antelope Valley. ‘A narcotics transaction’ may have been involved in this homicide, Rodriguez said.
