Arrest warrants have been issued for two 18-year-old Latino young men in the case of DeAndre Netter, 16, a black youth who was shot to death in the 5700 block of Golden West Street in Temple City on July 25 while walking with his twin brother and a Latino friend.

The suspects are Phillip Guerra, far left, and Christopher Lopez, both from the area. The twins had weathered conflicts with these two in the past; there had been fistfights. They were on the sidewalk when Guerra and Lopez pulled up in a white car and one leaned out the window with a rifle and began shooting at all three. They tried to run. DeAndre Netter was struck in the torso, and bled before his twin brother’s eyes, dying at Arcadia Methodist hospital a short time later. The whereabouts of Guerra and Lopez is unknown; they are believed to be in hiding. Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to call Los Angeles Sheriff’s Det. Joe Sheehy at (323) 890-5500.
