Artesia homicide

Humberto Campos, 22, a Latino man, was shot during a dispute in the 11800 block of Arkansas Street in Artesia about 2 p.m. Monday, July 14. Campos was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Campos was standing on the sidewalk when he was approached by a Latino man. The two men began to argue, then the Latino man pulled out a gun and shot Campos several times.
