Unincorporated Willowbrook: Man, 18, shot several times

Tavon Williams, an 18-year-old black man,died after being shot several times on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in the 2100 block of East 117th Street in unincorporated Willowbrook, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Williams was standing on the street when ‘someone walked up and shot him,’ said Ed Winter, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Williams was taken to a hospital, where he later died, said Deputy Lillian Peck of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
