Perry Wilson, a 36-year-old black man, was shot and died June 20 at the hospital. He was shot in the 500 block of East Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Wilson was sitting in his car in a parking lot, when someone came up from behind his car and shot him several times in the torso, said Craig Harvey, chief coroner investigator and chief of operations for the coroner’s office.
Wilson was transported to UCLA Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 2:08 a.m., Harvey said.
