Hillary Clinton simply has to make the Democratic Party ticket somehow as vice president! What would the late-night comedians do without her?

Here are some highlights of the jabs they’ve been taking at Clinton on the small screen :

‘Hillary lost and today she said, ‘I’m not going anywhere. I’ve already purchased my inaugural pantsuit.’ -- David Letterman

‘Hillary Clinton has been hinting that she and Barack Obama might share the Democratic ticket with her in the No.1 position. She feels Barack Obama deserves some sort of consolation prize for getting the most votes and being the most popular.’ -- Jay Leno

‘Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton had a private talk. Did you hear about this? They had a private discussion. They agreed to stop attacking each other so harshly. Hillary told Barack, ‘We should pretend to like each other, just like Bill and I do.’’ -- Conan O’Brien

Not to say no one ever laid one on John McCain. For example:

‘McCain came out this week with a list of 20 possible running mates. He would not reveal the names of all of them, but he said they all share certain traits, like knowing CPR. He said he wants someone who is ready take over on Day Two.’ -- Bill Maher
