Lest there be any doubt about Barack Obama’s money advantage, consider this:

In the first 15 days of this month, Barack Obama had enough money to spend $65 million to buy television time.

John McCain spent $19.3 million. The Republican National Committee, helping McCain pay for the campaign, spent another $11 million.

That means that Obama outspent his GOP rivals by more than 2-1 in the first half of the month, as he widened his lead in the polls, the latest campaign finance reports filed with the Federal Election Commission show.

Then there are these expenses: Obama spent $14,892 on photography. The Democratic National Committee spent $3,358 on health club membership.

The Republican National Committee spent $117 on a category called “Pest control.”
