A couple of days ago, I was debating in my head if the Santa Clara-L.A. Baptist game would be any good. From what I’ve read, (I’ll admit I haven’t been to any of either team’s games) they looked pretty even and I was having a hard time on Friday trying to figure out who’d come out ahead.
And good thing I didn’t make a prediction because my usual guess wouldn’t have worked for this one.
Despite a 257-yard, three-TD effort by RB Cierre Wood, Santa Clara and L.A. Baptist tied, 20-20, after the Knights missed a field goal in the closing seconds of the game. See what the Ventura County Star had to say about Wood’s big night.
