Cross-country: Inclement weather whets some’s appetites

For the second time in a few weeks, a longshot turned in a terrific performance in less than ideal conditions. This time, Kristin Arkin finished third and helped Trabuco Hills win the girls’ team championship at the Orange County Championships on Saturday.

Last month, Erich Yanoschik of Brea Olinda won the Dana Hills Invitational.

According to the Orange County Register, Arkin had finished 47th in last year’s OC Championships and the Southern Section finals, and has really been coming on lately.
