Scott scheduled to visit Colorado and Texas

Last week, St. Bonaventure RB Darrell Scott wasn’t sure if he’d make a planned recruiting trip to Colorado over Thanksgiving weekend. After all, football playoffs (trust me, St. Bonny will still be around) coupled with ongoing academic commitments were making it difficult for Scott to stick to his tentatively-scheduled Nov. 24 visit.
Well, it looks like the official visit has been pushed up a few weeks because Scout.com is reporting the 6-foot-1, 203-pounder will be heading out to Buffs territory on Saturday after the Seraphs’ Channel League contest against San Marcos. In addition to seeing a leashed buffalo this weekend, Scott will be making another official visit to Texas on Nov. 10.
Colorado and Texas aren’t alone in the Scott sweepstakes. Florida, USC, UCLA, and LSU have also put scholarship offers on the table. However, I’ll repeat my belief that the Gators are the front-runners for his services next fall, even though he hasn’t made an official visit to Gainesville yet.
As a senior, Scott has rushed for 1,391 yards and 16 TDs as St. Bonny has emerged as the early favorite to represent Southern California in this year’s Division III state championship bowl game. He is the highest-rated RB in the nation by Rivals.com and Scout.com.
And in case you don’t know what a leashed buffalo looks like, here’s some YouTube video of ‘Ralphie’ in action. Just don’t confuse him with ‘Ralph the Wonder Llama’ from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
