San Clemente’s Alex Dunne became the second runner in South Coast League finals history to win three girls’ cross-country titles after her dominant victory Thursday at Laguna Niguel Regional Park. In the process, she broke the course record by 21 seconds and finished 41 seconds ahead of the second-place runner. Sydney Leonard from Dana Hills was the first three-time winner, from 1994-96.

Dana Hills won the team title for both girls and boys, the latter its seventh title in a row. Tyler Valdes of DH won the individual title.
