Charter Oaks loses TDs to penalities and trails Trabuco Hills, 7-3

Trabuco Hills is up, 7-3, at halftime, but Charter Oak has had two touchdowns called back because of penalties.
The first penalty, a holding call, nullified a punt return by Mickey Harrell that would have given the host Chargers an early 7-0 lead.
The second, a face mask on the quarterback, nullified a 4-yard touchdown run by Chris Allen that would have tied the score with a minute left in the first half.
Diamond Bar Coach Roddy Layton tells me that a big challenge for the Charter Oak coaching staff will be to have the players forget those two plays and to get them focused on the second half.
As they left the field, the referees were booed by the Chargers’ fans.
