Baseball: Hart honoring two of its own at alumni game

I found out from Hart baseball e-mail agent Mike Gaber that the team’s alumni game will be played at 9 a.m. Saturday. I also found out Billy Susdorf and Kevin Foderaro, pictured, will be inducted into the Hart Baseball Wall of Fame.
I had the opportunity to cover some of Susdorf’s games while he was playing at Hart and I even hung out with him one summer in an English class at College of the Canyons. That was before his UCLA playing days.
As for Foderaro, I know him better for his Nerf football passing skills than his pitching skills. At my first official part-time job, stocking shelves and working the register at a drug store, Foderaro and I used to grab a faux football from the toy aisle and toss it back and forth after the doors closed. Pretty cool, considering he was technically my boss.
Anyway, it’s good to hear these guys will be getting some recognition from the ol’ high school after serving as ambassadors in the collegiate and pro ranks.
