The end was frantic. Frenetic. Leads swapped hands a slew of times in the final few minutes, as the LaVerne Luthern Trojans beat Pacific Hills Bruins, 57-56, in the finals of the Souther Section Division V-AA boys’ basketball playoffs.
It’s the Trojans’ first title. And it feels good, as the Trojans capped a perfect season -- going 28-0.
‘Man, I was relieved,’ said Lutheran Coach Eric Cooper.
