I don’t usually argue with MaxPreps.com. It’s like the Godfather of prep sports. And I’m just a lowly blogger. But I got a big gripe with the Godfather that I cannot just stuff back inside.
Today, MaxPreps released its All-American Team for girls’ basektball and Long Beach Poly’s Jasmine Dixon did not make the first team. How can thiis be?
Instead, Dixon -- whom many local prep yodas considered to be the most complete player in the Southland -- was found on the second team. My opinion, that’s a big boo-boo, Godfather. Another one: Redondo’s Antonye Nyingifa was not listed on Maxpreps’ first, second or third team. Maybe I’m biased -- a biased and lowly blogger.
Your thoughts, people? And please do not fear the Godfather.
