Let’s talk Palos Verdes baseball -- and mermaids?

Plaguing me is one question: ‘What is a Sea King?’ Is it like the dude who dates the mermaid? Can this king wear a crown underwater? And, if there’s a Sea King, could there also be a Sea Prince?
Whoa, I’m like totally confused.
What’s not confusing is how good the Palos Verdes Sea Kings are playing. They opened Bay League play the other day with a 19-2 mugging of Peninsula. Nate Halverson picked up his seventh win -- he’s undefeated, too -- while Marc Venning clubbed his third and fourth homers of the season.
What’s also not confusing is how thrilling a league race this should be. Palos Verdes (15-3, 1-0) is an obvious contender, but so are West Torrance, Mira Costa and Redondo. Picking a favorite is like me picking my favorite pizza topping -- it could be different on any day. Today, I’m going with the Sea Kings. And so, that brings me back to my original thought: What is a Sea King?
