Make no mistake about it. Corona Centennial has a trio of sophomores who are going to make the school known more than just for football.
On Tuesday night, sophomore Gelaun Wheelwright scored 28 points, sophomore Dominique Dunning had 17 points and sophomore Michael Caffey had 12 points to help Centennial (14-1) upset Riverside King, 73-71, in a Big VIII League game.
King came in with a 9-1 record and ranked No. 3 by The TImes. But it was No. 20 Centennial opening a 16-point lead in the third quarter and controlling the game. Kawhi Leonard scored 27 points for King.
