About 150 players from Southern California have been selected to attend Football University from Friday through Sunday at the Coliseum during the invitation-only training camp’s first stop in Los Angeles.
Among those invited to attend are Crenshaw running back Hayes Pullard, Taft running back D.J. Morgan, Loyola running back Anthony Barr, Cathedral receiver Anthony Jefferson, Narbonne safety Sean Parker and running back Melvin Davis, St. Francis defensive back Dietrich Riley and Agoura linebacker Lucky Radley. Top seventh- and eighth-graders from throughout the region are also scheduled to attend.
The camp provides instruction from former NFL players and coaches during a 30-city national tour. Instructors include Tom Martinez, a veteran quarterbacks coach and personal instructor to Tom Brady, as well as Andre Rison, Lorenzo White and Chester McGlockton, just to name a few.
Football University is also conducting a free coaching clinic Friday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Ahmanson Senior Center at 3990 S. Menlo in Los Angeles.
