Woodland Hills Taft has been forced to forfeit its 80-67 semifinal win over Dorsey last week in the City Section junior varsity boys’ basketball playoffs after it was learned that 6-foot-8 D’Andre Daniels failed to attend class the day he played for the Toreadors.
It means Dorsey will face Fairfax on Thursday at 3 p.m. at Dorsey in the JV final.
Daniels, a transfer from Renaissance, was declared ineligible to play for Taft’s varsity this season and just started playing for the JV team.
Taft’s boys’ varsity team and girls’ varsity team will be playing for City Division I titles on Friday at USC’s Galen Center.
