It doesn’t get any closer than this. Mater Dei and King have played to a 23-23 tie at halftime of their Division I-AA championship this evening at the Honda Center.
Mater Dei forward Travis Wear picked up his second foul early in the second quarter and went to the bench, but twin David Wear has more than compensated with 10 first-half points. Guard Tyler Lamb has seven points and five rebounds for the Monarchs.
Forward Kawhi Leonard has six points and forward Tony Snell five for King. Neither team has led by more than four points.
