Football: The rise of the kickers

I don’t know if anyone has noticed, but the kickers keep getting better and better, and this season should produce lots of outstanding kickers.
Parker Flynn of Orange Lutheran, shown in the video below, got attention last season with his clutch field goal that beat Santa Ana Mater Dei. He also boomed the ball into the end zone in a playoff game against Sherman Oaks Notre Dame that was critical to Orange Lutheran’s upset victory.
Alejandro Maldonado from Colton has committed to Washington. Matt Goudis from West Hills Chaminade is a junior who could be his team’s most valuable offensive weapon. Donald Jarrin of San Pedro was 11 for 13 on field goals.
I think the development has a lot to do with private coaches helping the kickers and lots of soccer players trying kicking.
