High school football games don’t get much better than this one, with Crenshaw knocking off Lakewood, 28-27.
Crenshaw quarterback Marquis Thompson, who was intercepted once and lost a fumble, through in a decisive fourth-quarter drive, firing a game-winning TD pass to Geno Hall with 2:33 left for the victory.
‘This is real good for the City Section,’ Thompson said. ‘People didn’t think we could beat them.’
